Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Database Analyst IV to support a data migration effort from legacy systems into the Ivanti IT Service Management (ITSM) platform. This role is part of a larger modernization initiative aimed at replacing outdated infrastructure and improving service delivery. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading technical aspects of data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL), as well as mapping complex legacy data structures to the Ivanti platform.
What you will be doing:
Lead the migration of data from multiple legacy systems into Ivanti Assess existing legacy databases, schemas, and data quality Design and implement data mapping and transformation strategies Build and execute ETL pipelines to securely and accurately move data Work closely with Ivanti system administrators, business analysts, and technical teams to ensure alignment Maintain data integrity, security, and consistency throughout the migration process Document data flows, mapping logic, and transformation procedures Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues throughout the migration lifecycle Provide post-migration support and assist with validation and testing What you must have:
8+ years of experience as a Database Analyst or Data Engineer Extensive experience working with legacy database systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, flat files, proprietary platforms) Strong SQL expertise and experience with data modeling and normalization Demonstrated ability to execute complex data migrations and conversions Familiarity with Ivanti ITSM, including schema, data structure, and import processes Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, Informatica, or custom scripting (Python, PowerShell, etc.) Ability to interpret undocumented or poorly documented data sources Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across functional teams Nice to have:
