Maxar is seeking a Software Development / IT Manager to lead its development and operations team. This role involves maintaining regular communication with Government leads regarding requirements, mission priorities, performance measures, program goals, milestones, and support needs. Responsibilities include overseeing all website development work and presenting overview briefings and updates to Government leads, partners, and customers. The manager will report on business area progress at performance improvement meetings and contribute to identifying opportunities for increased effectiveness, efficiency, scale, and impact. This position will also assist in distilling requirements, communicating them to staff, and tracking progress. A key function is providing the program manager with a technical needs summary that consolidates information across all development efforts, with a focus on areas requiring client intervention. Responsibilities: Support the implementation of cloud-based infrastructure solutions for a secure and accredited environment. Work with a cross-functional team to design and develop business solutions that are secure, cost effective, and meet customer needs. Engage in the whole lifecycle of services-from inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement. Monitor operational system performance and drive refinements to reduce complexity, increase reliability, and match timeliness with efficient costs. Design, deploy and maintain Kubernetes distributions (EKS, RKE, etc). Design, implement and maintain multiple DevOps pipelines. Implement CI & CD solutions to support rapid development and integration. Integrate static code analysis and other security mechanisms into pipeline. Work with software and system engineers to apply automated test and documentation processes. Troubleshoot and resolve network, automation pipelines, and infrastructure issues. Build, maintain, and monitor configuration management of release products. Create and deliver program and project artifacts and deliverables. Mandatory Qualifications: Must be a US citizen and have a current/active TS/SCI and CI polygraph. Bachelors degree in relevant field. 8 years of relevant professional experience. Experience leading and/or managing a team of engineers. CompTIA Security+. Experience with source configuration management tools such as Git. CI & CD development experience with technologies like Bash, Jenkins, or GitLab. Experience with automated deployment technologies such as Cloud Formation, and Ansible. Cloud Technologies deployment experience. Open-source application deployments and maintenance. Custom source application deployments and maintenance. Desired Qualifications: Experience with accreditation requirements and standards including creation of required documentation. Experience with distributed processing methods and tools, such as REST APIs, microservices, IaaS/PaaS services. Experience developing and deploying web services. Experience supporting software in a production environment. Ability to identify technology gaps in current capabilities and processes.
