Pay Range: $45.35 - $52.16/hour

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled
IT Specialist
to join our team in Warren, MI. This hands-on role blends server, network, and end-user support, making it ideal for a versatile professional who enjoys problem-solving in a dynamic technical environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and securing the IT infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, workstations, and networks, as well as providing daily support to staff and ensuring optimal system performance.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee network activity, systems administration, backup/restore procedures, and capacity planning (Ubiquiti - 20%) Ensure data and network security (10%) Build, maintain, and support physical and virtual servers (Ubuntu Linux, Proxmox - 15%) Create, manage, and deactivate user accounts and provide technical support to non-IT staff (25%) Develop and implement server maintenance procedures (10%) Troubleshoot and image workstations (15%) Provide regular IT reports to upper management (5%) Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or MIS U.S. Citizen (Required for ITAR compliance) 4+ years of IT experience in LAN, WAN, and Telecom support Strong background in capacity planning, performance monitoring, and system troubleshooting Experience with Windows Server, Windows 10/11, Ubuntu, and Debian Familiarity with the following tools and platforms: Fog (imaging), Proxmox (virtualization), Intune, Ceph.io (storage) Ubiquiti Unifi, Jira, Confluence, FlexLM, MagicDraw, Bitbucket Mac Radius, Sonar, Jenkins, Zabbix, Wazuh, RocketChat, OSticket GitLab, Endpoint Protector, Threatmod Preferred Qualifications:
6+ years of overall IT experience Experience in network/server hardware design and installation Familiarity with security practices across all IT hardware and systems Ability to maintain detailed documentation and system procedures Technical Skills:
Scripting: VBScript, PowerShell, Perl, PHP, Python Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN Firewall, proxy, and database management Network diagramming tools (Microsoft Visio preferred) Strong communication and multitasking skills
