The Network Administrator position is responsible for providing help and guidance with network related equipment while working towards documenting and helping supporting the internal IT Service desk, in relation to the company’s network. Other responsibilities include the documentation, automation, and standardization of the organization’s needs. Additional tasks will include local and remote end user support, license tracking, and performing network maintenance, upgrades and configurations.
Key Responsibilities
Modify configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local and remote networks. Audit network connectivity across multiple locations and making sure documentation is correct. Document and improve internal procedures. Maintain inventory of equipment, software, and software licenses. Provide service desk help in troubleshooting and resolving network issues. Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT Service desk. Monitor Service Desk for tickets assigned to the queue and process first-in first-out based on priority. Document ticket resolution for tickets assigned in the service desk. Stay current with system information, changes, and updates. Utilize advanced knowledge on identifying potential company issues based on tickets or system alerts to create policies and processes on how to remediate and be proactive with the issues. Utilize training to learn new technologies and techniques that can be used in the organization to improve customer service and satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
Knowledge of network switching concepts and technologies. Linux. Documentation Skills. Network automation or general automation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Cisco Certified DevNet Associate Ansible knowledge Python experience Meraki experience
