The University of Minnesota (Twin Cities) Medical School, Department of Pediatrics and Division of Infectious Diseases, is seeking a Pediatric Infectious Diseases physician for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. The role involves serving as the assistant hospital epidemiologist and Medical Director of Pediatric Infection Control at M Health Masonic Children's Hospital. The physician will participate in clinical, research, and teaching activities within the Division of Infectious Diseases. Clinical duties include inpatient consultation and outpatient practice. Academic time will be dedicated to scholarly work and teaching fellows, residents, and medical students. The Medical Director collaborates with the University of Minnesota Medical Center Hospital Epidemiologist and the Executive Medical Director of Infection Prevention and Control to maintain and develop the hospital's infection control plan. Responsibilities include executing institutional initiatives, developing infection control policies, leading outbreak investigations, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. Qualifications
MD or equivalent degree Completed accredited fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases Board certified/eligible in pediatric infectious diseases Licensed or eligible for licensure by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice About the Department
The Pediatric Infectious Diseases team provides expert clinical care for children with infectious diseases and advances research in the field. The division collaborates closely with internal medicine and health departments to improve child health worldwide. Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: $205,000, depending on qualifications. Appointment: 75%-100%.
