Job Overview Join a collaborative team supporting diverse North American scientific data initiatives. The Information Architect will develop data acquisition strategies and support efforts in data quality, integration, and governance. The role involves partnering with business and data teams to deliver actionable, high-quality insights.
Key Responsibilities Design and develop scalable data acquisition methods Model physical and logical data structures (ER diagrams, data dictionaries) Prepare and interpret data profiling reports Implement data quality controls and remediation strategies Define and manage data taxonomy, definitions, and metrics Deliver master and reference data management services Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and communicate insights Design and implement data quality management procedures
Key Technical Skills
Data Modeling:
Physical & Logical modeling, ER Diagrams, Data Dictionaries Data Quality & Cleansing:
Profiling, Control, Remediation Data Integration & Master Data Management:
Hierarchies, Reference Data Data Analysis & Visualization:
BI tools, data visualization platforms ETL & Pipelines:
Extract, Transform, Load processes Programming:
Python, VBA, XML or similar scripting languages Data Governance:
Standards, policies, and best practices implementation Methodologies:
DevOps, Agile (with a focus on data projects) Scientific Data Handling:
Experience with scientific or research data systems
