Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Might Include:

• Designing, developing, testing, and deploying cutting-edge software solutions in a dynamic, mission-driven environment
• Writing clean, efficient code in Python and Java to support high-throughput data processing systems
• Working within a Linux-based ecosystem, managing Bash scripts, services, and performance monitoring
• Leading or mentoring small agile teams, providing code reviews, technical guidance, and software quality assurance
• Developing and sustaining robust ETL workflows using Apache NiFi and messaging frameworks such as ITX (ActiveMQ)
• Implementing CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI and managing version control using Git
• Monitoring system health using Prometheus and Grafana and responding to performance bottlenecks
• Integrating structured and semi-structured data (JSON, XML, CSV, Parquet, etc.) into scalable, real-time systems
• Coordinating with system engineers to refine requirements and ensure alignment with mission goals
• Exploring emerging technologies (Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, Spark) to continuously improve the development process

Minimum Qualifications:

• Clearance: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
• Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen

• Education & Experience:
  • Master’s degree + 10 years of SWE experience
  • OR Bachelor’s degree + 12 years of SWE experience
  • OR 14 years of SWE experience with no degree requirement

Required Skills:

• Strong Linux system administration and command line (CLI) expertise
• Recent development experience in both Python and Java
• Proven experience designing and maintaining ETL pipelines , especially using Apache NiFi
• Hands-on experience with ActiveMQ , ITX , or similar messaging frameworks
• CI/CD expertise, preferably using GitLab CI
• Monitoring and observability using Prometheus and Grafana
• Strong understanding of data transformation with formats like JSON , XML , Parquet , and TCLD
• Git version control proficiency
• Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g., Docker) and orchestration frameworks (e.g., Kubernetes)
• Agile development process knowledge and experience leading development teams

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
• Familiarity with Spark or other streaming data platforms
• Experience deploying containerized applications via Kubernetes , Docker Compose , PodMan , or containerd
• Knowledge of Open Source and COTS/GOTS alternatives for rapid development
• Background in real-time analytics or cloud-based solutions

Compensation Range: $191,000.00 - $252,000.00
*The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role.
