Overview
The role of the Print Room Operator involves printing paychecks, advices, invoices, and other confidential business-critical documents using high-volume printing and inserting equipment. This position requires executing jobs in PeopleSoft and other print software applications, performing basic printer and inserter hardware maintenance, and serving as a point of contact for addressing print room issues with department members, vendors, and business partners. Additionally, maintaining weekly checklists and equipment maintenance logs is essential.
Responsibilities
Print paychecks, advices, invoices, and other confidential documents using high-volume printing and inserting equipment. Execute print jobs in PeopleSoft and other print software applications. Perform basic maintenance on printer and inserter hardware. Address issues in the print room by collaborating with department members, vendors, and business partners. Maintain weekly checklist and equipment maintenance logs.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in print process and printing management system software. Basic office skills, including data entry and customer service. Experience in print room operations. High School Graduate. Entry-level experience with 2 years in the field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with the PeopleSoft ERP system is a plus. Color print center experience is advantageous.
Work Environment
This position involves working one 12-hour shift a week, specifically on Tuesday evenings from 5pm to 5am. The work takes place in a normal to small print room with about 5-10 people per shift, depending on the schedule. The environment is fast-paced and can be noisy due to the operation of three massive print machines running simultaneously. Teamwork is essential in this setting.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
