The ideal candidate for this Project Facilitator role will possess a valid California Teaching Credential and a minimum of five years of successful K–12 classroom teaching experience. A Master’s degree is highly desirable, and experience in coaching, mentoring, or facilitating professional development is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of current educational practices, including state content standards, instructional strategies, assessment practices, and equity-centered approaches. A background in using digital tools for instruction and collaboration is essential, as the role demands effective communication, organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Additional qualifications include the ability to collaborate on and deliver workshops, training, and professional learning opportunities aligned with adult learning theory and effective instructional practices. The position requires knowledge of current research, especially as it pertains to the implementation of inclusive, standards-aligned programs such as ELA/ELD frameworks and the California English Learner Roadmap, and Standards for developing teachers, the Teacher Performance Expectations (TPEs). Candidates should also be skilled in facilitating data-informed decisions, providing technical assistance to educators, and supporting systemic shifts toward culturally and linguistically responsive education.

This position plays a vital role in supporting new teachers as they progress through a teacher preparation intern program, with an emphasis on fostering their growth as reflective, resilient educators. The Project Facilitator will help build a strong professional learning community where candidates develop meaningful relationships, access essential resources, and gain the confidence and support needed for long-term success in the field. Through intentional, equity-driven guidance, the facilitator will also support new teachers in becoming anti-racist educators who create inclusive, identity-affirming environments and advocate for systemic change that promotes academic equity. Ultimately, the work centers on supporting and empowering effective educators who are equipped to foster the academic and social-emotional success of all students. *Fingerprints and TB test is required prior to working.
