Electrical Engineer
to join its growing team. The firm has decades of experience in designing and managing complex building systems for commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments, with a particular focus on multifamily housing and urban infrastructure. Position Overview: This role is ideal for a licensed or experienced Electrical Engineer who is passionate about designing safe, efficient, and code-compliant electrical systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the electrical engineering scope of projects from concept through construction, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems. The position requires strong technical knowledge, project coordination skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines. Key Responsibilities: Engineer and oversee the design of electrical systems for commercial and residential buildings, including power, lighting, receptacles, and fire alarm systems. Lead coordination efforts with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with architectural and mechanical designs. Prepare and review construction documents, specifications, and calculations in compliance with applicable codes and standards. Conduct site visits and attend client meetings to support design development, resolve field issues, and ensure quality control. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff and designers. Maintain project schedules and budgets while ensuring high-quality deliverables. Qualifications and Skills: 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering for building systems. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; advanced degree a plus. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain. Proficiency in Revit is required; experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite is also essential. Strong understanding of NEC, local building codes, and industry standards. Experience with multifamily residential projects is highly desirable. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits and client coordination. Seniority level
