Position Title: QA/Test Analyst
Internal Title (SMX): Quality Assurance Analyst II
Location: Remote (with occasional travel to Washington, D.C.)
Clearance Required: Must be eligible for HSPD-12 (PIV) clearance
Employment Type: Full-Time (W-2)
Rate: $61.75/hour to $65.00/hour (W2)
Company Overview SMX Services and Consulting, Inc. is hiring a QA/Test Analyst to execute and maintain testing processes for a multi-module application platform. You will help ensure stable and secure releases in compliance with system requirements.
Key Responsibilities •Develop and execute test plans, cases, and automated scripts •Perform functional, regression, and UAT testing •Log and track defects in Agile workflows •Validate issue resolution and participate in sprint reviews •Support software releases and change management processes
Minimum Qualifications •3-5 years of QA or software testing experience •Familiarity with Jira, TestRail, or equivalent tools •Understanding of manual and automated testing methods •Basic SQL skills for backend validation
Preferred Qualifications •ISTQB certification or similar •Experience with Selenium, Postman, or JMeter •Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps testing
Education •Associate or Bachelor's in IT or Quality Engineering -OR- •5+ years of QA/test experience
Security Requirements •U.S. Citizenship •Tier 1+ background investigation •Eligibility for HSPD-12 credentialing
