We are partnered with a well-known brand in its respective space that is looking to add a strong Controller to its team for its next phase of growth. The leader of this department will guide the accounting operations and drive the development of the financial infrastructure for the company to continue its trajectory of growth. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, treasury management, and internal controls, working for a PE-owned organization.

Role Overview:

• Lead, build, and develop the accounting function of the organization
• Will be responsible for the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes - overseeing the preparation of audited financial statements and lead the external audit process
• Partnering with senior leadership and private equity sponsors to execute a comprehensive treasury strategy, including cash forecasting, liquidity planning, capital allocation, and banking relationships, including quarterly and annual debt compliance filings
• Manage day-to-day cash operations and ensure optimal cash flow across domestic and international entities
• Collaborate with FP&A, Sales, Operations, and eCommerce to support margin optimization, operational efficiencies, and inventory management
• Partner cross-functionally for successful product launches, retail expansion, and international growth initiatives
• Build out and develop a growing accounting department, including AP, AR, GL, finance, and payroll

Required Experience

• 5+ years of Accounting experience leading teams at high-growth CPG companies, preferably with strong brand recognition.
• Experience working in public accounting is highly desirable
• Knowledgeable of US GAAP, internal controls, and accounting operations
• Prior experience working with private equity-backed companies
• Experience with inventory management, COGS, etc.
• Proficient in SAP, NetSuite, or a similar ERP, treasury platforms
• Exposure to DTC and omnichannel revenue models
