Jobright.ai Piper Companies is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join a government contractor in Columbia, MD. This role involves building web and backend applications for a credentialing and case management system, utilizing Java and Spring technologies, and requires an active Secret Clearance. Responsibilities: • Build Web and backend application/services for credentialing/case management system • Use Java/Spring based REST APIs along with a Web 2.0 framework and a continuous integration environment • Create scalable and maintainable software solutions • Write unit and integration tests (e.g., using JUnit, TestNG) Qualifications: Required: • Active Secret security clearance required • 1+ years experience with using Java development tools (e.g. Eclipse, JUnit, Git) • 3+ years of work experience with Web development technologies (HTML, JSP, etc.) • 3+ years of work experience with Linux/Unix shell scripting (e.g. ksh, bash, csh, etc.) Preferred: • Experience in a large scale Federal IT Program • Experience with SAFe Agile delivery framework Company: Piper Companies is a professional services and consulting partner that operates three distinct divisional business units specializing in Health Sciences, Enterprise Information Technology and Cyber & Cloud Security.
