We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level. As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives. Job Responsibilities Develop micro-frontends using React, providing intuitive, responsive, and dynamic user interfaces Develop microservices using Spring Boot, ensuring the application is secure, performant, and scalable Work with AWS services such as ECS, Fargate, RDS Postgres, SQS, and SMS Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other developers in an Agile scrum environment and implement features Write clean, maintainable code that adheres to coding standards, with a focus on performance, security, and scalability Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other team members Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to meet performance and reliability requirements Continuously learn and implement best practices for software engineering, micro-frontends, microservices, and cloud-native development Add to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience Strong experience in Java and Spring Boot for building microservices and RESTful APIs Proficiency in React (JavaScript and/or TypeScript) to build responsive and dynamic user experiences Hands-on practical experience with AWS services, like ECS, Fargate, SNS, SQS, RDS Postgres Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment, specifically within an Agile/Scrum environment Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and optimize both frontend and backend components Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and design patterns such as micro frontends Exposure to cloud technologies AWS Certification(s) (Associate or above) Chase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America's households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
