The University of Vermont Medical Center and the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible cardiologist to join our Cardiovascular Unit as an Assistant or Associate Professor in the Clinical Scholar Pathway.
We are looking for a candidate with strong training in general cardiology and cardiac imaging. This position offers a unique opportunity to practice in a collaborative academic environment that values clinical excellence, teaching, and service.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive ambulatory and inpatient cardiovascular care within the University of Vermont Health Network. Interpret noninvasive cardiovascular studies, including stress tests and echocardiograms. Conduct outpatient cardiology clinics and inpatient consultations at UVMMC. Participate in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows (10% effort). Engage in hospital, departmental, and university service activities.
Call Schedule
2-3 weekday nights per month 2-3 weekends per year
Qualifications
MD or equivalent degree Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiology Training in general cardiology and cardiac imaging Eligibility for medical licensure in Vermont
