Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified and experienced
Threat Intel Analyst
to join our Information Security team. In this role, you will lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of security measures to protect the organizations computer networks and sensitive information. You will ensure appropriate security controls are in place to safeguard critical digital assets and electronic infrastructure while responding effectively to security breaches and threats.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise in identifying and analyzing cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities. Utilize advanced security tools and investigative techniques to detect and assess potential threats to the organizations systems and networks. Collect, evaluate, and interpret raw data to develop detailed threat assessment and incident reports. Identify and monitor emerging cyber threat trends and recommend preventative strategies and countermeasures. Prioritize threats by severity and develop actionable mitigation plans. Conduct regular gap analyses and apply critical thinking to improve threat detection, incident response, and overall risk management programs. Collaborate with SOC, incident response, and IT teams to implement recommendations and improve organizational resilience.
Education
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience/Skills
5+ years of experience in information security or related fields. Proven track record of implementing and monitoring security measures. Strong experience with threat intelligence platforms, SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), and malware analysis tools. Solid understanding of cyber threat landscapes, TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, Procedures), and threat modeling methodologies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Certification(s)
Certifications (Preferred): CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent certifications.
Salary And Benefit Information
The likely salary range for this position is $85,325 - $112,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
