is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented and experienced
Senior QA Analyst
to drive quality assurance activities across agile development teams. This individual will play a strategic role indelivering high-quality, web-based applications that support mission-critical federal programs. The ideal candidate will bring strong QA expertise to the project team, participating in definition, planning, leadership, and the execution of testing activities. Responsibilities include developing and executing test scripts, validating functionality across both functional and integration areas, and producing detailed test results to support informed decision-making. The Senior QA Analyst will also support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts by coordinating with stakeholders, verifying outcomes, and documenting issues for resolution. Collaboration with SCRUM teams, analysts, engineers, and project managers will be essential to uphold quality standards and contribute to successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities
Drive the definition and execution of test strategy and planning by applying deep QA expertise and leading collaborative efforts across agile teams. Collaborate early with developers and business analysts to clarify requirements, uncover potential challenges to effective testing, and align on test coverage and quality expectations. Ensure each release is thoroughly tested against business, functional and technical requirements Coordinate and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), verify results, and support defect resolution. Perform manual testing on custom low-code application platform (LCAP) solutions such as Entellitrak or ServiceNow. Create and maintain detailed functional. regression and integration test plans. Conduct integration testing to validate backend services and data interfaces. Recommend and implement QA process improvements in alignment with Agile best practices. Document, plan, and execute test data setup activities to support comprehensive testing scenarios. Identify, log, and track software defects throughout the SDLC using JIRA.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred Minimum of 6 years of experience as a QA Analyst U.S. Citizenship and an active Public Trust (or higher level clearance) are required. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and own QA deliverables from planning through execution. Experience testing web-based applications using manual and automated methods. Hands-on experience with low-code platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Tyler Application Platform known as Entellitrak). Experience working in teams and in a team environment that is process-oriented and deadline-driven Ability to self-direct while demonstrating strong collaboration and team-oriented motivation; proactive Proficiency with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence). Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies. Ability to work independently under general guidance Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in writing test plans, defect reports, and UAT documentation. Experience testing JavaScript, Java, .NET, html, CSS or similar web-based applications Preferred Qualifications:
Experience creating automated test scripts in JavaScript frameworks. Experience with Section 508 compliance and accessibility testing. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests. Familiarity with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Postman is a plus. It is highly preferred to have this team member based in the DC Metro area and work from our Fairfax, VA office at least one day per week. Physical and Mental Requirements:
Ability to remain seated or in a stationary position for extended periods, often working at a computer. Willing to be on camera for all internal and customer meetings. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written forms. Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and computer-related tasks. Ability to follow directions, understand procedures, and maintain attention to detail. Capable of gathering, organizing, and interpreting information to support testing activities. Able to apply logical reasoning and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and project goals.
