We are currently seeking an ambitious pace-setter to join our team as a Jr. QA Automation Engineer working Hybrid out of our Logan, Utah office.
ROLE COMMITMENTS
• Automate regression test cases for the mobile app for Android / iOS across all major supported OS versions
• Implement infrastructure to run mobile reregssion tests daily on an automated fashion and noitify stakehiolders of test rus results via slack
• Optimize the framework's Page Object Model design to better handle crossplatform functionality
• Automate spinning up appium servers and connecting to devices for local test runs
• Support embedded automation project (valinor)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and maintain robust and scalable automated test frameworks and test suites.
• Design, implement, and execute automated test cases to ensure the reliability, stability, and performance of our software applications.
• Collaborate with the QA team to create and execute test plans.
• Communicate bugs and issues found through the automation process to the development team.
• Participate in continuous improvement of the QA Process.
• Hands-on professional experience with troubleshooting, documentation, and verbal communication.
• Investigate and report software defects, working with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Manage cloud device farms for both Android and iOS mobile applications.
• Identify and implement processes to increase efficiency for both automated and manual testing.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Education and Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in QA automation, with at least 2 years of experience.
• Familiarity in test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Appium, device clouds, etc.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Kotlin, or Swift and willing to learn more.
• Strong understanding of software development and testing architectures.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Enthusiasm to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience integrating testing into deployment pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience with distributed version control systems such as Git and related web platforms (e.g., GitHub)
• The ability to read schematics and conduct basic hardware troubleshooting tasks
• A familiarity with Unix and/or Linux operating systems
