This position requires the incumbent to be 100% on-site at the Glasgow location in Newark, DE however may eventually offer a limited hybrid work environment.
Creating, reviewing, and executing test plans of complex software-enabled, electro-mechanical laboratory equipment, and reviewing test plans from junior staff. Preparing validation and ad-hoc testing protocols, including advising on appropriate samples and acceptance criteria. Performing sample testing on clinical laboratory systems as needed, following Universal Precaution guidelines (safe management of biohazards). Supporting execution of test protocols with diligent record keeping and documentation. Will capture anomalies in defect management systems. Evaluating results of testing, provide analysis and summary including presenting outcomes to technical audiences. Reviewing results of testing protocols from junior staff to ensure compliance to quality procedures. Troubleshooting and analyzing product issues or failures (to include Quality Control failures). Leading or supporting investigations, as appropriate. Determining acceptability of test results. Participation of creation of Quality Management systems for Customer Workflow Testing department, following CLIA and ISO standards for Clinical Laboratories, including leading creation of new Quality Procedures and/or SOPs as needed. Responsible for adhering to all laboratory requirements for New and Altered inspections. Responsible for all safety measures, as issued and outlined by Site EHS. Responsible for maintaining, and calibration, of test equipment Ensuring laboratory operations function smoothly, such as ensuring proper maintenance of equipment and tidy lab environment with assistance of junior staff. Ability to work in a laboratory setting for extended periods of time Responsible for operating the instrumentation in the lab to simulate customer-like clinical laboratory Ensuring junior staff is maintaining instrument documentation, assist in creation of process and procedures to ensure quality testing data of instrumentation. Responsible for troubleshooting QC and Assay performance data and procedure issues with Management and Assay Lead.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science or other relevant degree is required 10+ years of experience as a Laboratory Professional in a clinical setting, including as laboratory management Strong work ethic, excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a complex, hybrid work environment, remain flexible and agile to switch priorities to meet business needs Strong assay and instrumentation troubleshooting skills including Calibration and QC troubleshooting. Knowledge and/or experience with Atellica QC Statistics program and/or BioRad Unity program, a plus. Well-versed with digital tools including Azure DevOps, Microsoft Office Suite etc. Experience developing products within an Agile software development process. Experience with Siemens Atellica Solution instrumentation preferred Experience in troubleshooting Quality Control failure results and guide junior staff in best practices.

The Annual Base Pay For This Position Is
Min $124,800 - Max $187,200
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
