Phlebotomist, Laboratory - MCI, PT, Varies Join to apply for the Phlebotomist, Laboratory - MCI, PT, Varies role at Baptist Health . Description Performs phlebotomy in accordance with established National Patient Safety Goals and Baptist Health protocols. Receives specimens into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) accurately and timely, labels, transports, centrifuges, and aliquots specimens. Distributes specimens to testing sections based on priority, e.g., STAT over Routine. Faxes and distributes results as appropriate. Maintains knowledge of policies and procedures used within the department and hospital to address patient questions and concerns. Estimated pay range for this position is $17.02 - $22.13/hour depending on experience. Qualifications High School Diploma, Certification of Completion, GED, Training, or Experience. Additional Qualifications Preferred: Phlebotomy or Registered Medical Assistant certificate, experience in a hospital setting including pediatric, geriatric, oncology, and neonatal patients. Computer skills, specimen processing, excellent interpersonal communication (verbal and written), and customer service skills. Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Minimum Required Experience 6 months EOE, including disability/vets.
