The Associate Recruiting Senior Manager – US Lateral Associates is an integral part of Latham’s Associate Recruiting team. This role will be responsible for serving as a dynamic leader and strategic visionary, partnering with Global Department Chairs (GDCs) to revolutionize lateral associate recruitment strategies as well as creating overall strategies, goals, and objectives for the lateral associate recruiting team in consultation with the Directors of Associate Recruiting. This role will be located in either our New York or Washington, D.C. office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Other key responsibilities include:
Acting as a strategic advisor to GDCs, managing firmwide relationships to develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies for lateral associates Leading and inspiring the lateral associate recruiting team, fostering a culture of engagement and motivation, and ensuring alignment with the firm’s strategic vision and growth mindset Building and maintaining strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including headhunters and firm leadership, to support the firm’s recruitment objectives and strategic initiatives Guiding the firm through strategic vision and change management processes, ensuring the lateral recruiting function adapts and grows in response to evolving market conditions and firm needs Collaborating on the formulation of global policies and procedures Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
We’d love to hear from you if you:
Possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, including organizing, planning, problem-solving, decision-making, and effective interaction with all organizational levels Demonstrate proficiency in PC applications, including MS Office, database management, and applicant tracking systems, with the ability to conduct thorough analyses and reports Exhibit the capability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion
And have:
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in legal recruitment or professional services A minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in a related field, preferably
