Design, build, and enhance tailored data and AI solutions to meet client needs, focusing on data modeling, indexing, and query optimization. Client-Focused Problem Solving:
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify critical business issues and align them with technical solutions within the EDB Postgres AI platform, leading proposals and prototypes for operational and analytical requirements. Deployment & Integration:
Lead the deployment of robust data and AI systems in fast-paced environments, integrating EDB Postgres AI with existing infrastructures seamlessly. Operational Excellence:
Create and maintain effective monitoring and alerting systems to ensure top performance, driving automation in database maintenance and security, as well as backup and restore processes. Optimization & Troubleshooting:
Identify performance issues, rectify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to enhance data processing speed and reliability. Client Enablement & Training:
Act as a mentor to client teams by providing documentation, training, and best practices for sustainable success with EDB Postgres AI. Innovation & Thought Leadership:
Keep abreast of the latest advancements in EDB Postgres AI and industry trends, fostering a culture of continuous improvement through shared insights and refined methodologies. What You Will Bring Experience:
5+ years of database engineering experience, especially with PostgreSQL (EDB technologies preferred). Technical Skills:
Expertise in PostgreSQL, SQL tuning, PL/pgSQL, K8/OpenShift, CNCF, along with performance profiling and query optimization capabilities. Problem Solving:
Proven track record in translating complex business needs into effective data solutions. Client Orientation:
Exceptional communication skills and an ability to connect with client needs to ensure impactful solutions. Programming:
Knowledge of scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Shell scripting). Security and Compliance:
Understanding of database security practices, compliance regulations, and data privacy laws. Preferred Qualifications Industry Experience:
Experience with clients in regulated sectors (finance, healthcare, government) and an understanding of specific data challenges in those fields. Distributed Systems Knowledge:
Familiarity with high-availability architectures, clustering, and replication strategies. Advanced Analytics:
Experience with data science methodologies and a desire to apply them to client scenarios.
