Overview This position is responsible for the end-to-end delivery and maintenance of cloud and on-premises data solutions, including data integration (ETL/ELT), data quality, data lineage, metadata management, and data governance tools. Ensures deliverables meet expected functionality, maintains data integrity for business operations and decision-making, and provides support for the services offered. Works with a team of experienced developers in on-premises and cloud-based data warehousing services. Responsibilities Builds, manages, and implements metadata-driven data pipeline capabilities, including data modeling, process design, and overall architecture of data pipelines, covering all phases of ETL processes. Automates repeatable data preparation and integration tasks. Develops technical solutions for unique system problems, ensuring quality results. Acts as a technical resource for management, staff, and business units. Partners with technology teams to understand data capture and testing needs, building and testing end-to-end solutions. Leads small data engineering projects and participates in larger initiatives. Provides technical support for production systems, addressing complex issues, anticipating maintenance needs, and ensuring functionality for end users. Collects data related to user requests, determines scope and estimates, and implements effective technical solutions with problem analysis and resolution. Inspects specifications, coding, test plans, documentation, and implementation plans for accuracy. Collaborates with architects and developers to understand data requirements, design tables/queries, and ensure compliance with bank standards. Codes complex solutions for data integration, cleaning, transformation, and control, supporting data transformation processes, metadata, data quality, dependencies, and workload management. Builds complex data sets and communicates deployment information. Supports data management standards, identifies and communicates solutions to complex problems, leveraging knowledge of systems, techniques, and processes. Monitors KPIs and internal controls. Comfortable working in a distributed, multi-time zone, and dynamic environment. Performs unit testing, reviews code with team members to ensure quality, performance, and efficiency. Performs performance tuning on complex SQL queries and data pipelines. Creates data ingestion pipelines for various sources including files, databases, APIs, and SharePoint. Develops and contributes to test plans, including integration, regression, and performance testing; analyzes results and leads troubleshooting. Creates scheduled and trigger-based ingestion patterns using Redwood scheduler. Builds and manages CI/CD pipelines with Gitlab runner. Collaborates with teams on deployment, validation, PI planning, story refinement, release planning, and release activities. Participates in Agile ceremonies, coordinates with scrum master, tech lead, and PO. Provides technical support for escalated incident tickets. Provides 24/7 on-call support rotation. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of experience in software development and maintenance OR High School Diploma/GED with 8 years of experience. Preferred: 5 years in data engineering/data integration using SQL, Informatica, DataStage, Netezza, SSIS; 3 years in agile practices; 1 year in cloud computing (AWS, Snowflake, dbt); knowledge of cloud data warehousing, data modeling, data quality, and analytics tools like Power BI, SSAS, SSRS.
