Piper Companies is looking for a DevOps Manager to join a growing infrastructure-focused team in a hybrid position working onsite Tuesday - Thursday in Raleigh, NC. The ideal DevOps Manager will lead a team of engineers while bringing strong expertise in systems engineering, networking, and security while enhancing CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities for the DevOps Manager:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Drive infrastructure initiatives, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security across platforms.
- Collaborate with development teams to manage and enhance CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain and optimize a hybrid Linux and Windows environment, with a strong emphasis on Kubernetes and Linux systems.
- Lead the deployment and maintenance of robust, scalable systems in cloud infrastructure.
Qualifications for the DevOps Manager:
- 8+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Infrastructure Engineer.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
- Proven experience managing and leading technical teams and balancing leadership with hands-on responsibilities (70% management / 30% technical).
- Strong background in Linux systems administration, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipeline management.
- Strong AWS skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Compensation/Benefits for the DevOps Manager:
- Salary Range: $145,000 - $175,000 annually
- Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave (as required by law), and Paid Holidays
