Oversee and manage the daily operations of the nursing home in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Ensure the facility maintains continuous licensure and certification; report any administrative changes to DHHS as required. Provide leadership and direction to all department heads and staff, fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture. Hire, train, evaluate, and develop staff to ensure quality care and compliance with staffing standards. Monitor staffing levels and coordinate scheduling to meet resident care needs effectively. Develop, implement, and monitor the facility budget, ensuring financial goals are met and resources are used efficiently. Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, service providers, and healthcare professionals. Lead the facility’s Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program to ensure continuous improvement in resident care. Ensure residents’ safety, dignity, and rights are protected at all times, addressing concerns promptly and effectively. Maintain open and effective communication with residents, families, staff, governing bodies, and external partners. Oversee individualized care planning in collaboration with clinical and social services staff. Ensure the facility’s emergency preparedness plans are current, communicated, and practiced through regular drills. Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free environment in compliance with OSHA and infection control standards. Serve as the primary liaison for regulatory surveys, audits, and inspections, ensuring prompt corrective actions as needed. Provide 24/7 operational oversight, being available on-call to resolve issues outside of regular business hours. What does Hillcrest have to offer?

Proven experience as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, Executive Director, or similar leadership role in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility. Demonstrated success managing operations in compliance with state and federal regulations, including survey readiness and response. Experience developing and managing budgets, controlling costs, and achieving financial goals in a healthcare setting. Strong background in staff leadership, including hiring, training, coaching, and maintaining adequate staffing levels. Hands-on experience leading Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs to drive care outcomes and resident satisfaction. Familiarity with emergency preparedness planning, risk management, and maintaining a safe, compliant facility environment. Track record of building and maintaining positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and regulatory agencies. Experience navigating Medicare/Medicaid systems, managed care contracts, and vendor negotiations is highly preferred.
