Role Overview
Lead an engineering team partnering with major silicon companies to optimize Ubuntu across the Linux stack, from kernel to GUI, for the latest hardware. This fast-paced role requires resourcefulness, technical expertise, and the ability to deliver solutions across PC and IoT technologies.
Responsibilities
- Manage a distributed team designing and implementing Ubuntu integration for new hardware platforms.
- Collaborate with partners to deliver optimized Ubuntu experiences.
- Develop your team through coaching and feedback.
- Oversee project milestones and ensure quality standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams on product architecture and roadmaps.
- Travel up to twice a year for up to two weeks.
Candidate Profile
- Experience with Linux distributions, debian packaging, and high-performance hardware.
- Experience working directly with customers to resolve technical issues.
- Proven leadership of software engineering teams.
- Understanding of agile methodologies.
- Effective cross-team collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Bachelor's degree in a technology field or equivalent.
