Rate: $45/hour on W2 Type: Onsite Contract Position Summary Client is hiring a
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) System Administrator
to support and enhance mission-critical imaging applications including CIS, GDIS, JDIS, and RMS. This role focuses on server configuration, reliability, and infrastructure optimization to support judicial IT operations. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, upgrade, and enhance RHEL 7, 8, and 9.x servers and OpenShift environments. Configure HPE ProLiant servers running SELinux per performance and security best practices. Develop and maintain shell and Ansible scripts. Collaborate with DBAs and developers to support Informix and PostgreSQL systems. Tune and optimize both virtual and physical environments. Manage OS releases and patches using tools like Red Hat Satellite and Software Distributor. Support occasional weekend work and travel to court locations across Virginia. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. 5+ years experience as a Linux System Administrator. Hands-on experience with RHEL administration, HPE hardware, firmware updates, OS upgrades. 5+ years shell scripting; experience with Ansible scripting. Experience with system backups, recovery, performance, and security management. Strong troubleshooting and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications 7+ years as a Linux System Administrator. 2+ years with RHEL on HPE ProLiant bare metal servers. Experience with OpenShift, oVirt, and RHV administration. Experience with RHEL upgrades and patching via Red Hat Satellite. Familiarity with Red Hat Virtualization, HPE Primera Storage, Insight, GreenLake. Experience with Data Protector, Samba, Informix, PostgreSQL in court environments. Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
