The Technology Architect is responsible for the design and delivery of software application architecture across Lineage's growing portfolio of supply chain systems. This role demands both broad and deep technical expertise, including a fundamental understanding of software engineering, networking, system administration, databases, and development tools. A successful architect ensures that our applications are secure, scalable, resilient, maintainable, automated, and easily deployed. Design high-level architecture for supply chain software, infrastructure, cloud platforms, and automation tools within our technology ecosystem Research and apply new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance security, scalability, resiliency, maintainability, automation, and deployment Support development and deployment activities through close collaboration with software engineers, devops engineers, data architects, and other technical staff Help identify and resolve critical system issues and security vulnerabilities Collaborate across teams to solve complex problems and navigate technical disagreements with informed, practical solutions Mentor and provide technical guidance to other team members and peers Job Requirements
Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT Management, or a related field; or 9+ years of relevant experience Minimum of 7 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in an architectural role on large, complex projects Strong understanding of software engineering tools and technologies, including IDEs, CI/CD pipelines, APM tools, and cloud platforms Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Maintain a broad and deep understanding of software development techniques and technologies Be open to coaching and actively seek feedback Effectively manage multiple projects or assignments in a fast-paced, agile environment Prioritize tasks and manage workload efficiently Demonstrate a collaborative mindset: know when to ask for help and when to offer it Understand your strengths and apply them effectively Learn and adapt to new technologies and business concepts Take ownership of outcomes, delivering high-quality work on time Communicate technical concepts clearly and confidently to both technical and non-technical audiences Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed Knowledge of supply chain technologies such as WMS, TMS, and YMS is strongly preferred Why Lineage?
