A CHHA is a trained Care Professional who provides hands-on assistance to aging adults, ensuring they remain safe and comfortable in their own homes. CHHAs support with daily activities including bathing, eating, walking, and using the bathroom, as well as assisting with meal preparation, grocery shopping, medication reminders, and light housekeeping. Our Care Professionals are dedicated to providing the highest quality, compassionate, in-home care. How do you become a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)? The CHHA course includes 60 hours of online independent study and 16 hours of hands-on clinical training conducted by a Registered Nurse. Once completed, we will assist you in submitting your application to the NJ Board of Nursing and guide you throughout the process. Requirements to be a Home Instead Care Professional: Compassionate care for seniors and their homes. Effective communication skills with clients. Ability to pass a criminal background check, DMV check, and drug test. Valid driver's license and auto insurance. *No previous experience necessary - paid training provided by Home Instead*.
