As needed Position Summary:
A well-established tertiary care facility is seeking a
full-time Interventional Radiologic Technologist (IR Tech)
for a day shift contract. The technologist will support interventional radiology, neuro, and vascular procedures. Candidates should have experience in high-acuity procedural imaging environments.
Cath Lab experience is not required. Key Responsibilities: Assist physicians with interventional radiology, neurointerventional, and vascular procedures Set up and operate imaging equipment during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions Ensure proper positioning and safety of patients before, during, and after procedures Maintain sterile technique and procedure room readiness Document procedures accurately in the electronic health record (Epic) Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality outcomes Be available for on-call assignments as needed Flex to different responsibilities or areas up to 3 times during the assignment if required Preferred Qualifications: Experience in
interventional radiology, neuro, or vascular imaging Strong understanding of procedural workflow and sterile technique Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced hospital setting Prior use of
Epic
charting system is a plus Required Certifications: ARRT Certification (Interventional Radiography preferred) BLS Certification New York State Licensure or eligibility Facility Details: Facility Type:
