**Shift:** 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

**Unit Information:**

- **Department:** A3 West Med Surg Telemetry - **Number of Beds:** 38

**General Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical/Surgical Telemetry Nurse to join our team on the A3 West unit. This unit provides care for patients requiring telemetry monitoring and is staffed with a team of professionals dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care.

**Staffing Structure:**

- **Day Shift:** - 1 Charge RN - 6-7 RNs - 1 LPN - 3 PCTs - 1 Unit Secretary - **Night Shift:** - 1 Charge RN - 6 RNs - 1 LPN - 2-3 PCTs - HUC for part of the shift

**Patient Ratios:** - Day shift: 6:1, with the goal for the Charge Nurse to assist in staffing. - Night stretch ratios: 7:1.

**Equipment Used:** - Baxter IV pumps - Wound vacs - SCDs (Sequential Compression Devices) - Prima-fits and Primo-fits - EMR: Cerner Powerchart

**Hiring Profile:**

**Required Skills:** - Medical/surgical nursing experience - Telemetry experience

**Preferred Skills:** - Charge nurse experience

**Typical Procedures:** - Peripheral IV starts - Dressing changes - Other standard medical-surgical skills

**Ideal Candidate:** We are looking for a team player with a positive attitude who is willing to help others without being asked.

**Certifications Required:** - BLS (Basic Life Support)

**Floating Requirements:** The nurse will float to other medical-surgical units and ED holding medical/surgical patients as needed.

**Dress Code:** Scrub color/attire: all navy, all white, or white top and navy pants. Navy or white undershirts are permitted as needed.

**Weekend Commitment:** Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.

**Contract Details:** - Number of Positions: 1/2 - Guaranteed Hours: Contract for 91 weeks.
