Job Description Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Cardiopulmonary Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 1730-0600 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years License: Current state license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
Must-Have: Must have a current state license. Must maintain BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certification. Must be a team player with pre-approved RTO to be added to the end of the contract.
Description: This is a 13-week assignment. The work schedule consists of 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week. The shift time is from 1730 to 0600. Registered Respiratory Therapists are responsible for providing, coordinating, and directing individualized comprehensive respiratory care to all patients. Care is based on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The Therapist is accountable to the Cardiopulmonary Director. In the absence of the Director, the Therapist is responsible to the Lead RRT. Once oriented, the RRT is expected to function with a minimum of supervision. Current state license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner is required. The ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds from the floor to waist is necessary. The ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds from wheelchair to bed level is necessary. The ability to lift five (5) pounds over head is required. The ability to pull fifty (50) pounds from stretcher to bed is required. The ability to push a one hundred fifty (150) pound loaded stretcher 300 feet is essential. Auditory ability to perform procedures and to take accurate blood pressures is necessary. Vision adequate to observe patients and perform charting procedures is required. The Therapist must meet specific criteria for the Cardiopulmonary department. Holiday coverage is required.
