- Provider Type Needed: Critical Care Nurse Practitioner
- Schedule: Night shifts (7 PM to 7 AM); 7-10 shifts per month, not following a 7 on/7 off pattern.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Serve as the solo critical care practitioner during night shifts.
- Perform advanced procedures such as A&C lines, intubations, and chest tubes.
- Manage critical care patients independently, ensuring continuity of care with daytime teams.
- Coordinate patient transfer and communications with a flagship hospital for specific cases like cardiac, GI, IR, and surgery.
- Document and maintain accurate patient records using the EMR system Powerchart.
Additional Information
- Required Board Certifications: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC)
- Other Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Must be able to provide case logs demonstrating recent procedure experience.
- No provision for training or proctoring; candidates must be fully competent upon commencement of the role.
