Shipping and Logistics Coordinator

Summary of Position:
This full-time position (minimum of 40 hours per week) ensures the seamless coordination of shipping, receiving, and logistics operations. The Shipping and Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing inventory accuracy, facilitating on-time deliveries, and proactively addressing operational risks. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a customer-first mindset to meet and exceed service expectations.
Essential Duties: Oversee all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to customer specifications. Conduct visual inspections of shipments to verify quality, accuracy, and timeliness. Coordinate with freight vendors for quoting and booking shipments to optimize cost and delivery efficiency. Accurately manage inventory levels using the ERP system Monitor and resolve logistical issues, including tracking shipments and addressing delays or nonconformities. Facilitate vendor and customer communication to ensure smooth operations and supply chain continuity. Assist with eCommerce and vendor order preparation (which could include driving product in company owned vehicle to 3rd party locations). Support product testing and quality assurance processes to meet internal and customer standards. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of vendor management and material conversion calculations to support business needs.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with keen attention to detail. Effective communication skills. Ability to identify and resolve logistical issues proactively. Proficiency in using ERP systems and other relevant software for inventory and logistics management. Willingness to drive a company vehicle as needed.
Training and Experience: 1-3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or related operations roles. Experience with ERP systems and inventory management processes (preferred). Familiarity with logistics best practices and vendor management.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders to manage inventory. Obtain certification to drive a forklift (training provided if required). Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and handle repetitive motions. Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
Salary Description
$20/ hour
