is seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Manager of Engineering
to lead the design, development, and maintenance of its electric distribution system. This is a key leadership role with a strong focus on system reliability, safety, and operational efficiency. Position Summary: The Manager of Engineering will be responsible for overseeing engineering operations related to electric distribution, transmission lines, and substations. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of technical expertise, leadership, and a proactive approach to system performance and reliability. Key Responsibilities: Lead engineering design and maintenance of electric plant infrastructure Analyze system loading and reliability to support expansion and upgrades Investigate and mitigate outage events and power quality issues Ensure compliance with safety codes, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements Prepare technical reports, RFPs, and bid packages for construction and maintenance projects Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support system improvements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in utility operations Strong knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) and RUS standards Proficiency in system modeling, voltage drop and fault current analysis, and AMI systems Excellent communication and leadership skills Valid Louisiana driver's license Ability to work in both office and field environments, including during emergency situations Location:
