Restorative Practices Paraprofessional, Y5 - 5th Grade
Hours: Up to 32.5 hours per week

Roosevelt Elementary
, Stevensville, MI 49127
Qualifications:
Associates Degree or equivalent preferred Subbing credentials of 60+ college credit hours preferred High School graduate or equivalent Advanced training in a field related to child care and/or a minimum of two years of experience as an aide or equivalent experience Competent in the following areas: communication skills, organization, and in establishing excellent interpersonal relationships with staff and students Duties:
Working in multiple classrooms (Young 5's - 5th Grade) to assist students and teachers with academic and behavioral needs Assist in planning and implementation of instructional support and training activities with students under the direction of the teacher Be responsible for the supervision and direction of students including bus arrival and dismissal, lunch and recess time Help maintain instructional area, supplies, equipment and facilities in a clean/safe condition. Includes cleaning/disinfecting the classroom environment Assist teachers and support staff in preparing materials, housekeeping, recordkeeping and data collection relative to student progress Provide instruction and training on an individual student basis, in a small group or one-to-one tutorial instruction Willing to assist with medical procedures. Understand and be aware of medical needs of students Follow established policies/procedures (e.g. medical concerns, safety, student rights, emergency/disaster plan, etc.) Maintain confidentiality and regular & predictable attendance Prefer de-escalation training (TCI) or equivalent All other duties as assigned
