Perform detailed design and engineering calculations of overhead electric distribution systems to comply with client specifications and relevant industry standards such as NESC and GO95. Prepare permit drawings for construction projects. Model, analyze, and generate reports using PLS-CADD software for distribution power poles. Support day-to-day activities of utility infrastructure projects from inception through engineering, construction, commissioning, and hand over. Provide training on AutoCAD, PLS-CADD, and related drafting applications to junior engineers. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.5:00 p.m.). Salary is $122,366 per year. The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, & work location. Individuals in this position may be paid a discretionary bonus. Requirements: Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, or a related field, and 7 years of related work experience. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, employer will accept an additional 2 years of related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 7 years of experience with the following: Design, construction, operations, and maintenance of overhead and underground distribution lines at or below 34.5 kV; Consulting on power and electric utility infrastructure projects; and working with industry and local government Overhead Electric Line Construction standards. Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience with the following: PLS-CADD. Telecommuting permitted up to 5 days a week. Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 10%. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
