Communications Specialist
to support a critical business transformation: the transition to a new Human Capital Management (HCM) platform. In this contract role, you will craft and deliver personalized, clear, and engaging communications to help a diverse and geographically dispersed workforce navigate change with confidence. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with teams to develop and deliver communication materials that support the adoption of new systems, tools, and business processes. Work closely with the Aspire Communications Lead to coordinate and execute cascaded messaging across numerous stakeholder groups. Track and report on communication activities, including engagement metrics, audience reach, and channel effectiveness. Ensure all content is well-structured, tailored, and aligned with strategic objectives. Must-Have Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field—or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 3 years' experience in communications, with an emphasis on organizational change and systems implementation. Excellent writing, editing, storytelling, and content development skills. Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and contribute to training and change initiatives. High attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with project management methodologies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint), Smartsheet (or similar tools), and SharePoint. Strong interpersonal qualities including integrity, initiative, humility, humor, curiosity, and good judgment. Nice-to-Have Qualifications: Experience with HCM platforms (especially UKG). Background in manufacturing, transportation, or environments with both union and non-union employees. Certification in change management or project management. Understanding of visual design principles.
