Every Saturday and Sunday 7:00pm - 7:00am As a CT Imaging Specialist, you will operate advanced diagnostic equipment to create computerized axial tomographic scans for medical professionals. You will provide clear explanations to patients, gather their medical histories, and assist them in the correct positioning for their scans, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience. Apply today and discover how MedStar Health can be your next great career move! Primary Duties: Prepare patients for scans by reviewing records for orders, histories, lab results, and allergies. Position patients on the scan table, establish IV sites for contrast infusion, and administer oral, rectal, and IV contrasts while monitoring for any reactions.
Enter patient and exam data into the x-ray computer system, perform computed scans, prepare reports, and maintain service records—all while ensuring accuracy for billing and quality assurance.
Assist Radiologists in interventional procedures, report scan results, and manage scheduling, including accommodating emergency exams from MedStar and ER.
Maintain a clean and aseptic working environment, film CT scan images, archive exams, and ensure adequate supply levels for operations.
Assist in training and orienting new employees and students, ensuring all necessary patient information and billing functions are properly entered and maintained.
Qualifications: Associate degree or 1-3 years of formal training in Radiologic Technology.
Completed competency-based training in CT.
1-2 years of job-related experience.
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) registration.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
This position has a hiring range of $34.98 - $62.52.
