Location of Position Wicomico County Health Department, Salisbury, MD 21801
Main Purpose of Job The main purpose of this position is to provide individual, family, and group therapy and counseling for children, adolescents, their families, and some adults with serious emotional and behavioral problems. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, evaluations, diagnoses, making referrals, formulating and implementing treatment plans, and serving as a resource for community programs. The role also involves developing policies and providing clinical guidance to staff. This position is designated as emergency essential.
Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience: Determined by the Maryland State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists for Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). The Department does not accept substitutions or equivalents.
Desired Qualifications Experience working with co-occurring clients and maintaining client records are preferred.
Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications
Must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists as an LCPC.
Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license if duties require operating a vehicle.
