Key job responsibilities
Transform ambiguous business problems into well-defined mathematical models using operations research techniques
Architect end-to-end ML and optimization solutions
Design and implement novel algorithms for pricing, fraud detection, and marketplace optimization
Drive production implementation of your solutions, working closely with engineering teams
Conduct large-scale experiments to validate new approaches and measure business impact
Mentor junior scientists while collaborating with product managers and business stakeholders
Present research findings and recommendations to senior leadership
Basic Qualifications 3+ years of building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business application experience
PhD in engineering, technology, computer science, machine learning, robotics, operations research, statistics, mathematics or equivalent quantitative field, or Master's degree and 5+ years of industry or academic research experience
Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Java or Perl
Experience in building machine learning models for business application
Preferred Qualifications PhD in econometrics, statistics, industrial engineering, operations research, optimization, data mining, analytics, or equivalent quantitative field
Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy etc.
Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning
