Supervisors and Managers should review the competencies detailed below. Assess the employee's competencies and check the box next to the corresponding bullet point if he/she is competent. - Safely and efficiently operate CNC hand and automated load lathes.
- Learns and operates machinery to the best of his or her ability with a goal of an overall productivity of 85% or greater and an overall quality goal of 98% or greater with a goal of continuous improvement.
- Learn basic troubleshooting of machine issues.
- Understanding of basic SPC practices.
- Verification of gauges.
- Calculate and manually enter off-sets.
- Knowledge of quality standards to ensure product meets or exceeds customer expectations.
- Knowledge of TS or IATF work procedures.
- Promote continuous improvement ideas.
- Ability to follow work instructions to meet procedures.
- Follow 5S procedures when operating machines.
- Report daily production and scrap.
- Follow training manual and take notes for future reference.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Operate as a team player, working and communicating well with others while promoting team work throughout the shop.
- High School Diploma or GED required
CNC/Machining experience preferred
