Role Overview: We are looking for a Design Lead, Digital to set the creative standard for how our hospitality brands come to life online. You will drive the design of beautiful, intuitive, and high‑impact web experiences that tell rich brand stories and capture the unique spirit of each hotel we work with. Beyond websites, you will guide cohesive design extensions across email, social, and advertising so every digital touchpoint feels connected and intentional. As a key creative voice, you will work closely with our design, content, and technology teams, translating bold ideas into seamless digital experiences. Working within our custom React based CMS, you will prepare pixel‑perfect, interactive‑ready designs in Figma and champion best practices that keep our work at the forefront of digital design. In partnership with our Content Art Director, you will bring a refined art direction sensibility to the curation and placement of photography and video, ensuring every site feels crafted, immersive, and alive. What You'll Do: Lead the creation of inspired, visually compelling websites that embody each client's brand story and hospitality experience. Design and oversee cohesive visual extensions for digital marketing, including email campaigns, social media assets, and digital advertisements. Collaborate closely with our development team to ensure a seamless transition from Figma prototypes to fully interactive, responsive websites built on our custom React-based CMS. Explore and champion emerging design technologies, including AI‑powered tools, to push creative possibilities and efficiency across projects. Foster creative excellence, mentor other designers, and help grow a culture rooted in passion, collaboration, and strategic clarity. Present design concepts and rationale to clients and stakeholders with clarity, confidence, and strategic insight. Contribute design leadership to pitches and proposal work, developing standout concepts and visuals that help win new business. Travel occasionally to client properties to immerse yourself in their unique environments, translating firsthand inspiration into digital design. Collaborate with our Content Art Director to ideate, curate, and strategically place photography and video assets within website designs, ensuring a cohesive and impactful visual narrative. Who You Are: A passionate, detail-obsessed web designer with a refined aesthetic and deep appreciation for hospitality branding. Expert-level proficiency in Figma, adept at creating interactive prototypes and meticulously prepared design files ready for development. Knowledgeable about website development processes, particularly React-based systems, with a strong understanding of how your designs translate into code. A strategic thinker who sees the website as a foundational element within a broader digital ecosystem, intuitively crafting experiences that enhance user journeys across channels. Collaborative, communicative, and aligned with Spherical’s core values: Creative, Effective, Passionate, and Relationship-Driven. Requirements: Minimum of 5–7 years experience designing sophisticated, high-end websites, ideally within luxury, hospitality, or lifestyle brands. Demonstrated experience leading design projects from conception through execution. Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional website designs and interactive experiences. Based in NYC metro area with availability to be onsite 2–3 days per week and flexibility for occasional travel. Why Spherical?
