Overview
SAP Technical Lead/Architect
to lead the design, development, and management of SAP solutions and SAP RISE platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing teams responsible for ABAP development, BASIS & SAP platform architecture, and SAP Integrations. Experience with SAP RISE platform will be preferred. Key Responsibilities: Define and manage the overall
technical architecture
for SAP S/4HANA and related SAP systems (BTP, GTS, EWM, Legacy ERPs, etc.) Manage the SAP Technology team
and architects from various areas including BASIS, Integration & ABAP. Lead
ABAP development
team and oversee development strategy and governance; ensure code quality, and best practices for custom development including adherence to
clean-core methodology . Manage
SAP Integration
between SAP and external systems (cloud and on-premises). Previous experience on
SAP CPI (Integration Suite)
will be required. Manage RICEFWs and ensure timely completion of deliverables per project schedule. Drive technical design and implementation within the
SAP RISE platform , including cloud migration, system provisioning, integration & monthly maintenance. Provide technical leadership for system upgrade planning, migrations, and platform enhancements. Collaborate with functional leads and infrastructure teams to ensure alignment between business needs and technical capabilities. Ensure platform security, compliance, and adherence to IT standards and policies. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to integrations, performance, and connectivity. Continuously mentor all team members on recent SAP upgrade and shift in technology/product architectures. Stay informed about the SAP roadmap, including RISE with SAP innovations and best practices. Required Experience & Skills: 12+ years
of SAP technical experience with strong exposure to SAP system architecture, ABAP development, and integration design. Previous experience with managing
SAP Technical teams
that handle areas like BASIS, ABAP, Integrations & SAP Security. Proven experience managing
SAP platform , including system landscapes, transport management, and performance optimization. Expertise in managing ABAP
team including RICEFW reviews, and enhancement objects via BADIs, Fiori Extensions, CDS Views, and OData services. In-depth understanding of
SAP Project methodologies
like
SAP Activate
and various phases of the project lifecycle. Familiarity
with SAP BTP & SAP Cloud Platform Integration (SAP CPI)
including iFlow development, mapping, adapters, and security setup. Experience working with SAP RISE platform , including system provisioning, integration setup, and working with SAP BTP and hyperscalers. Experience integrating SAP with cloud services (e.g., SuccessFactors, Ariba, Salesforce) and on-premises systems. Strong knowledge of
SAP Basis
and overall
System administration
concepts with ability to guide technical team to effectively accomplish their tasks . Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions. Preferred Qualifications: SAP S/4HANA greenfield implementation experience. Exposure to SAP BTP, CAP (Cloud Application Programming), or RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming). Familiarity with SAP Cloud products like SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). Experience with Fiori/UI5 extensions and custom app development.
