The Director of Communications Strategy will lead the development of impactful communication strategies across key projects by aligning big ideas with audience insights, cultural trends, and the broader media ecosystem (paid, earned, and owned). Collaborating with strategy and creative leads they will help shape resonant, results-driven campaigns, while presenting strategies to clients while providing thought leadership on emerging trends, and fostering a strong, collaborative team connection. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development of communication strategies across key projects, ensuring that big ideas connect with the right people in the most relevant ways. Use audience insights and cultural trends to guide how we roll out creative ideas, ensuring they feel timely and resonant across the entire ecosystem: paid, earned and owned. Collaborate closely with strategy leads to successfully translate strategic needs into communication strategies and plans. Collaborate closely with the integrated creative leads, helping shape ideas so that they feel both fresh and impactful when they reach audiences. Present and defend strategies to clients, showing them how the approach we’re taking will get results and make the most of the creative work. Ensure accountability and measurement of all plans. Provides thought leadership, both internally and externally, on emerging trends and comms strategy best practices. Proactive about identifying organic opportunities, and works with account partners & strategic leads to uncover and unlock scope. Cultivate a strong strategic culture within the department, encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing, and both direct/indirect mentorship to other teammates. Key capabilities: Proven ability to deliver consumer driven campaigns and solutions that deliver results Strong partnership & collaboration skills, need to serve as the bridge between strategy and creative Deep understanding of the capabilities and consumer behaviors of all touchpoints within the ecosystem On top of new platform advances, and how they can be used with campaign / ecosystem development Proven ability to drive / inspire unexpected uses of traditional touch points Proven ability to deliver connected strategies, enabling fluid and connected hand-offs between touch points Strong sense of accountability and ownership Has the ability to work independently Ability to work in fast paced environment, and with unpredictable projects Ability to gain client confidence, strong working relationships Strong work-ethic & self motivated Qualifications: Min 7 years of digital / social / comms strategy Min 7 years of agency experience We are only considering candidates that currently live in Los Angeles. The targeted annual salary range for this role is $150,000 to $170,000 and may vary depending several factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, education, skills and job qualifications.
