Overview
The QSC Senior Supply Planner / Master Scheduler holds a crucial leadership role in global and plant-level operations, contributing significantly to overall planning, scheduling, purchasing, execution, inventory management, and ERP planning systems processes. Responsibilities include creating and managing the Master Production Schedule and Rough Cut Capacity Planning for internal and external manufacturing sites. The primary goal is to optimize production based on customer demand, forecasts, capacities, material availability, and resources. Addressing production issues, risks, and proposing solutions are key aspects of this role.
This position involves managing the timely creation and release of work orders, ensuring material availability to support daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for in-house manufacturing. Utilizing ORACLE ERP and E2Open planning systems, the Senior Supply Planner analyzes production plans, material needs, and availability to support production and execution. Collaboration with engineering, purchasing, and production teams is essential to facilitate changes, communicate material requirements, and coordinate scheduling, capacity planning, and delays.
Beyond planning, the Senior Supply Planner contributes to managing and reporting on inventories, interacting with product managers, logistics, sales, purchasing, and finance. The role includes performing analytics to derive insights and recommendations, and collaborating with management to improve planning and inventory performance. It also involves handling analytical projects and assisting in developing systems, tools, and processes for data capture and analysis. With above-average knowledge of APICS and MRP systems, the Senior Supply Planner ensures alignment and optimization of ORACLE ERP and E2Open systems, including master data management and system setup for accuracy and efficiency. The role balances independent and collaborative efforts.
Base Pay Range 82,000 - 118,000

Responsibilities
Create and manage detailed master production schedules based on forecasts, demand, capacities, and materials.
Assess and plan capacity for internal and external manufacturing, determining resource needs.
Coordinate with production to establish schedules.
Collaborate with suppliers, negotiate delivery dates, and manage due dates.
Monitor and report on material shortages and discrepancies.
Evaluate MRP and ERP outputs to ensure correct materials are available for schedules.
Develop processes for inventory movement and cost control.
Implement best practices for shipment modes to reduce freight costs.
Work with ERP system managers to develop controls for production planning and inventory management.
Manage time and resources efficiently to complete projects accurately and on schedule.
Qualifications
BA/BS in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience.
5-10 years in material planning, inventory planning, and scheduling.
Strong teamwork and analytical skills.
Ability to evaluate, prioritize, and solve problems quickly.
Effective cross-functional communication skills.
Experience instructing colleagues in planning and procurement.
Ability to solve diverse problems with limited standardization.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Knowledge of SCM and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in production planning, scheduling, and shop floor control.
Advanced knowledge of ORACLE Production and Materials Planning modules.
Understanding of planning parameters, order modifiers, and data integrity in MRP systems.
