Secure Document Destruction Specialist ! In this critical role, you will be entrusted with the secure handling, tracking, and destruction of classified and sensitive documents and materials, adhering to stringent government and company regulations. Your meticulous recordkeeping and compliance with chain-of-custody protocols will be vital in ensuring the integrity of our destruction operations. Collaborate with security and facility personnel to enhance the secure management of sensitive materials. Primary Responsibilities : Receive, validate, log, and track classified and sensitive materials slated for destruction. Effectively operate specialized destruction equipment (e.g., shredders, disintegrators) using agency-approved methods. Maintain precise
chain-of-custody records
and destruction logs to guarantee accountability. Adhere to and implement
destruction schedules ,
internal controls , and
safety protocols . Facilitate
audits ,
security inspections , and
material control reviews
related to destruction operations. Safely store and transport materials within
restricted areas
or
SCIFs (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities) . Work in partnership with
Facility Security Officers (FSOs) ,
Material Managers , and
Security Representatives
to maintain compliance and tackle issues. Educate and mentor new personnel on the secure material handling and destruction processes. Assist with material control operations such as
inventory reconciliation ,
packaging ,
labeling , and
classified media disposition . Basic Qualifications TS/SCI w/Poly clearance is essential. High school diploma or equivalent. 2-4 years of applicable experience in materials management, warehousing, or production planning. Familiarity with:
Materials Management and Warehousing Operations Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) systems Inventory control practices and material movement procedures
Adept at interpreting engineering specifications and production schedules for raw material requirements. Exceptional organizational skills and a keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective team and departmental coordination. Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision and resolve moderately complex issues. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree or vocational training in logistics, supply chain management, or a related discipline. Proficient in Materials Management Systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). Experience in material selection based on performance, cost, and production needs. Previous exposure to manufacturing or production settings. Understanding of lean inventory or just-in-time (JIT) methodologies. Pay Range: Pay Range $39,000.00 - $70,500.00.
