The Civil/Mechanical Manager oversees the design, implementation, and optimization of civil and mechanical systems in renewable energy projects. This role integrates technical expertise with strategic leadership to ensure seamless execution, compliance with regulatory standards, and delivery of high-quality results that align with our client's mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of civil and mechanical engineers, fostering innovation and professional growth. Drive alignment between civil/mechanical engineering and organizational objectives through strategic planning and execution.
- Apply advanced project management principles to plan effectively, execute, and oversee civil/mechanical engineering projects.
- Preference will be given to candidates holding PMP certification, showcasing their expertise in managing complex, multi-disciplinary teams and achieving outstanding results.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of civil and mechanical engineering components, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to proactively address project challenges.
- Oversee the preparation, conduct the inspection, report, and approve of engineering work and designs, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and industry standards.
- Leverage advanced modeling tools and sustainable engineering practices to enhance project outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Implement robust safety protocols and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental policies.
- Champion sustainable engineering practices that align with ISO 14001, minimizing environmental impact and enhancing resource conservation.
- Drive adherence to ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) standards throughout all civil and mechanical engineering processes.
- Implement quality management systems to ensure project outputs meet rigorous standards for consistency, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for civil and mechanical engineering matters with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Communicate progress and technical updates, building trust and transparency.
- Take ownership by serving as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, ensuring clear communication, transparency, and trust throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage budgets, allocate resources, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and performance standards.
- Optimize team workflows and resource utilization to meet project deadlines efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience preferred in civil/mechanical solar construction projects.
- Experience in project leadership, reporting, submittals, RFIs, civil pre-construction services, MMRPS, commissioning, navigating environmental and safety regulations, and finishing projects to completion driven by a commitment to placing the client at the center of every solution.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, computer, and problem-solving skills.
- The ideal candidate will have a ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 credentials or relevant experience.
- Ability to work in office and field environments, including navigating construction sites.
- Some travel required.
Benefits
Compensation starts at $75K - up to $130K annually, plus bonuses.
