Are you passionate about materials science and leading high-performance teams? Join us as a
Laboratory Manager
and play a key role in driving innovation and quality for sustainable building products. We’re seeking a hands-on leader to manage daily lab operations, lead a growing technical team, and support advanced R&D testing on polymeric and composite materials. What You’ll Do Oversee and streamline day-to-day lab functions to ensure fast, accurate testing. Guide and mentor lab technicians, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Lead complex test projects from planning through execution, ensuring timelines are met. Analyze data on recycled plastics, additives, and materials using advanced techniques. Implement and maintain SOPs and ensure compliance with ASTM standards. Partner with R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to align testing with company goals. Support lab expansion, including new equipment selection, validation, and troubleshooting. Track performance trends, develop KPIs, and introduce process improvements. What You Bring Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred, but not required). Years of lab experience, ideally with plastics or composite materials. At least 2 years of team leadership or supervisory experience in a lab setting. Strong command of physical and analytical testing methods, including mechanical property evaluation. Familiarity with ASTM methods and regulatory compliance. Excellent problem-solving, reporting, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects across cross-functional teams. Safety-conscious with a drive to learn and lead. Bonus Points For Statistical training OSHA or lab safety certifications Skill in Minitab or data software What We Offer Competitive salary:
