Job Notes: -- 6-month contract / extensions and full-time conversion possible with good performance. -- Onsite in Hornell, NY -- Hours: M-Th, 9 am to 3pm (six hours per day x four days per week = 24 hours per week), potential for full-time conversion

$23-25 w2 per hour
Overview: We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused IT Support Engineer to provide onsite technical support for end users. This part-time role focuses on O365 support, Autopilot provisioning, asset management, and general desktop troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem solver with a strong understanding of Windows-based environments and standard IT support practices.
Key Responsibilities: Provide deskside support for Microsoft O365 applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, etc.) Configure and deploy devices using Windows Autopilot Track, manage, and update hardware inventory and asset records Perform basic troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices Support end users with day-to-day technical issues and escalate when necessary Document all support activities and resolutions in the ticketing system Requirements:
1-3 years of experience in a deskside or technical support role Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite and Windows 10/11 environments Experience with Windows Autopilot and device provisioning Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Basic understanding of asset lifecycle and inventory tools Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a corporate IT environment Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools A+ or Microsoft certifications a plus Why Choose Merge IT?
